If you're vegan, or simply intolerant to dairy, you'll need a cake at your wedding or special occasion as much as anyone else. I may have expressed before how passionate I am about ensuring that anyone can 'have their cake & eat it', regardless of allergies or dietary needs.
For that reason, I don't charge a penny extra to anyone ordering custom cakes with special dietary requirements at Little Miss Cake Maker, meaning that a 'FreeFrom' cake costs no more than my everyday cakes, and the same goes for corporate cakes and wedding cakes. So this brings me to share my vegan friendly, dairy free sponge cake recipe, which is originally sourced from the Food Network.
It's been a great summer for some lovely local businesses, beginning with local opticians Haine & Smith. They celebrated an epic 40 years in business - and never has there been more need for celebratory corporate cakes! Haine & Smith has 40 practices dotted in and around Wiltshire, and each practice got a cake with their name on it, starting with Regent Street, Swindon.
Love is in the air as it's Valentine's Day here in the UK, so I thought I'd give you something amazing to fall in love with... Guinness Chocolate Cake.

It's been almost a year since Little Miss Cake Maker became a full time business, so although I'm a little early with this, it seemed the right time to post as it's the start of a brand new year! What better time to review 2014 than now, right?
Such a rollercoaster of a year, and it's incredible how much you can forget while you're caught up in the action - so I'd encourage any business owner (or anyone for that matter) to take a little time out to look back at their past year and highlight all the good stuff you accomplished, no matter how small those things may be.
When I get awesome requests to make cakes that look like pizza, it completely reassures me that quitting my day job was the right thing to do. Since I began my venture to bring the Little Miss Cake Maker shop to life, I've been looking, searching, trawling around for the best suppliers for various things. One of these things was of course sprinkles. Such a teeny weeny thing that makes a cupcake that little bit more awesome.

Christmas is long gone and it's almost too late to start wishing people a Happy New Year by now, but we've still got box fulls of chocolates left over from Christmas. That's not to say that I don't love chocolates, because I do, and I've been devouring as many as possible every evening.
