- 275g plain chocolate
- 275g butter
- 100g milk chocolate
- 100g white chocolate
- 175g plain flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 4 large eggs
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 325g caster sugar
Preheat the oven to 170c or gas 3. Grease and line a tin with greaseproof paper - the tin I used is 34cms x 20cms but a square tin would work just as well.
Break the plain chocolate into pieces and place in a bowl with the butter - over a pan of boiling water until it all melts.
In a different bowl, sieve the flour and baking powder. Put this to one side for now.
Remove the melted chocolate from the heat and add the sugar, eggs and vanilla essence. Mix until dissolved and then add the flour. Break the white and milk chocolate into pieces and add this to the mixture.
Pour the whole mixture into your cake tin and bake in the oven for 20-25 mins. Allow to cool in the tin. The result should be a firm top but lovely and gooey inside. Mmmm!
