Burger Cakes

Burger biscuits:

Beat 125g butter and 125g caster sugar together until creamy, then stir in 2 egg yolks, 1tbsp cocoa powder and 1tsp cinnamon. Gradually add 175g plain flour until the mixture forms a soft dough. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 mins (the dough, not you).

Roll out between 2 sheets of baking paper and transfer onto baking sheets. Bake for 10 mins at 180C or gas 4, then leave to cool.


Burger buns:

Beat the following ingredients together in a bowl:

  • 125g margarine/butter
  • 125g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Spoon into 12-hole muffin tin (greased) and bake for approx 15 mins at 180C or gas 4.
